Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. is a designated a 50l(c)3 non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Service regulations.
Ticket sales to our Fifth Anniversary Concert, which will be held on June 12, 2010, will cover approximately 48% of the event’s overall costs. Hundreds of volunteers, including our 12 member Board of Directors, work tirelessly planning this series of concerts. The paid staff includes: Executive Director, Emily Hunter; Office Manager, Kelly Tastove; Bookkeeper, Rita Spinden; Site Manager, Linda Craghead; and Volunteer Coordinator, Karen Rains.
Any proceeds exceeding the expenses of the Fifth Anniversary Concert will be used by Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. as “seed” money for the Sixth Annual Concert expected to be held in June 2011.
