Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. is a designated a 50lc(3) non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Service regulations.
Ticket sales to our Fourth Annual Concert, which will be held on June 13, 2009, will cover approximately 48% of the event’s overall costs. Hundreds of volunteers, including our 10 member Board of Directors, work tirelessly planning this series of concerts. The paid staff includes: Event Coordinator, Emily Hunter; Office Manager, Kelly Tastove and Bookkeeper, Rita Spinden.
Any proceeds exceeding the expenses of the Fourth Annual Concert will be used by Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. as “seed” money for the Fifth Annual Concert expected to be held in June 2010.
