Volunteer
Opportunities
2010 Applications Available
To produce a world class musical event in a remote natural setting is a challenge. It takes an enormous amount of work and collaborative spirit. Many people are needed who will say “I’ll take this part, I’ll work on this team, I’ll show up and follow through.”
The success of the whole event depends upon people working together in a committed way to help “create the world we all want to live in.”
HOW TO APPLY: Please contact Karen Rains, Volunteer Coordinator, in our Strong City office (620.273.8955 or info@symphonyintheflinthills.org) for volunteer applications and a team list.
We will give your application to one of 35 different team leaders who will contact you to discuss what positions match your expectations and capabilities. We cannot guarantee that every applicant will be placed but we will make every effort to get back to you as early as possible.
Volunteers must work minimum a 4-hour shift before, during, or after the event to qualify for a free ticket to the concert. However, it is important to know we are looking for people who are sincerely committed to the work of hosting and producing the event...and are willing to "stay on task even during the concert".
PLEASE NOTE:
- A new volunteer application needs to be filled out each year. After your new application has been received you will be considered for a volunteer position for the current concert year.
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
